Meet Laura Cabrera, CPRP, a proud East Carolina University graduate and Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional through AAPPR. Laura serves as a Senior Physician Recruiter with FirstHealth Physician Group, where she plays a vital role in recruiting physicians and advanced practice providers across a wide range of specialties, serving 15 counties in central North Carolina.

With over eight years in physician recruitment and more than fifteen years of combined experience in healthcare, human resources, legal, and management roles, Laura brings both strategic insight and heart to her work. She is passionate about connecting exceptional providers with opportunities that allow them to make a meaningful difference in the communities they serve.

Laura is an active member of the CAPS Marketing and Technology Committee, where she helped develop the new CAPS Conference mobile app—an innovative resource designed to enhance member engagement and create a more interactive conference experience. A graduate of the Moore County Leadership Institute, Laura continues to seek ways to grow professionally while uplifting others in the field.

Beyond her professional life, Laura is a creative entrepreneur and proud mom of two wonderful, active boys who keep her inspired, busy, and grounded. She believes in leading with purpose, supporting her peers, and helping others find fulfilling careers that impact lives for the better.
