Karen Gliarmis has 20+ Years of Physician Recruitment experience which includes recruiting for a community-based hospital, an Academic Level 1 Trauma Center and now a state agency, NC Office of Rural Health. She served as the first Resident-Fellow Liaison for ECU Health Graduate Medical Education and then assisted with recruitment of primary care and psychiatry faculty for ECU Brody School of Medicine. She has been with the NC Office of Rural Health for 6+ years and serves on the Placement Services Team.The North Carolina Office of Rural Health (ORH) actively recruits medical, dental, and behavioral health providers who can offer care in rural and underserved areas of NC. The available opportunities are in a variety of practice settings including Federal Community Health Centers, Rural Health Centers, County Health Departments and more. All placement services are provided at no charge. ORH offers assistance with the federal National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment programs and the NC Loan Repayment program. For those providers without loans, the High Needs Service Bonus is available to qualifying providers and sites.
